- Private image/PDF storage: your receipt files are not public links; access is controlled by your signed-in account.
- Starting with Basic is okay. Same-calendar-year upgrades charge only the configured price difference.

Help / FAQ
What is GigTracker for?
GigTracker is a record-keeping tool only. It helps keep your own receipts, mileage, earnings, vehicles, and Record Packages in one place for your convenience and reference.
Does GigTracker give tax or filing advice?
No. GigTracker does not provide tax advice, accounting advice, legal advice, filing guidance, or confirmation that any record is complete, accurate, deductible, accepted, or appropriate.
Why does deleting files not reset my upload allowance?
Your calendar-year upload allowance is based on total attachments uploaded. Deleting files may reduce stored size, but it does not reset yearly upload allowance.
Why are attachments optional in Record Packages?
CSV and PDF Record Reports are lower-bandwidth. Attachments are included only when you explicitly select them because they can use download bandwidth.
What does GST/HST/QST registered mean?
Select Yes only if you are registered for GST/HST/QST and want to track those tax amounts separately in your records. If unsure, select No and ask your accountant or tax professional.
What information is stored in my profile?
Your profile stores your email address (used for login) and the date you became a member. You can also set default preferences like your province and preferred categories for records.
How can I update my profile defaults?
On the Account screen, you can modify your default province, default category for new records, and your default payment method. These settings will pre-fill forms for convenience but can always be changed when entering individual records.
What are the "Policy acceptance" checkboxes for?
These checkboxes confirm your agreement to the latest versions of the Terms, Privacy, and Data Retention policies. Reviewing and accepting these policies is required to continue using the app.
How do I sign out of my account?
You can sign out of your GigTracker account using the "Sign out" button located in the top-right corner of the header. This will log you out of the application.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, the Account screen provides an option for account deletion. Please be aware that account deletion is a permanent action and typically involves removing all associated data. You will be prompted to confirm this action.
